 General Tools
Herro new family. I am purchasing a screaming yellow 2004 Mustang GT when I get back to the states. I haven't actually physically touched the vehicle yet but from the dealership I saw that it has a Dark Force cold air intake, aftermarket throttle body(can't tell what kind), aftermarket rims and yellow front brake caliper covers, hood scoop and side scoops. Basically I'm asking what kind of basic tools I'm going to need to start working on this piece of art. I've watched all of these videos and from what I saw they used mainly metric tools. Why? I use standard tools all the time and know that metric and standard are very close in sizes. Does Ford recommend using metric tools? Any recommended tool kits?

 Re: General Tools
For shizzle, thanks for the reply. I already have an assortment of tools but not really a complete set. Once of the first things I'm gonna do is buy a very nice set of snap-on tools. I am aware about the jack stands and and floor jack as a lot of things I wanna do to my soon to be mustang will require them. I've never really got that much into working on cars i guess because I never really had anything worth working on. Soon to change though and I want to thank the professor for putting all those videos on your site, you made changing all of those things look cake as shit when i thought they would be much more difficult. A few of the first things I wanna do is put some BBK shorty headers on my exhaust and install an upgraded shift kit, not really sure on which one, any suggestions? Also, what do you guys know about dark force CAI? I don't know what size it is cuz I haven't even actually seen it yet. Thanks a bunch peeps.

 Re: General Tools
no problem bud,
this past christmas.my whole craftsman set was stolen. it sucks starting all over again, so far i've only replaced about 20% of what i use to have, doing it yourself is the best way last time i took it to a shop they f#$ed up my chip spoiler, i just don't trust anyone with my car. if i absolutely have too i'll stay till it's done

 Re: General Tools
That sucks that someone jacked your tools. If I were to get stationed back home I wouldn't have a problem with tools, my old man has a lot of what I'd need. I guess it wouldn't be a bad thing for me to get my own stuff though. I've read on other forums about how people get pissed when they hear about people not actually installing their own mods/upgrades. It sucks for me because the car I'm buying already has mods on it haha, I guess I could say that I put the mods on if I took what was already on the car off, then reinstalling it?

 Re: General Tools
Yeah so the dealership that I was going to get the car from sold it. I live in Japan and called the dealership trying to set everything up. I sent a money order to hold the car but by the time it got there they had already sold it. Man was I pissed but I'm looking at another one with even less miles but no mods. Maybe it's a good thing so I can say that I put all the mods on myself. I'll post whenever it. I've made up my mind about getting a mustang, no matter how far I have to drive to get it!
